On August 5th, we are heading to Waterton to hike up to Bertha Lake. It’s considered an intermediate hike, with one section containing steep switchbacks. It should take about 2.5hrs to make it up to the lake, and 1.5hrs to go back down. The recent forest fire has removed much of the shade from the trail, so make sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and water! We should make it to the lake by lunchtime, where we’ll make sure to rest and eat lunch. Supposedly the lake is quite cold, which may feel great to jump in if it’s hot enough outside.

Please meet at CMBC at 7:00AM

For more information on what to bring and itinerary for the day please see the attached form. The travel waiver is also needed in order for your students to come along.
